Our new online platform Google Classroom is ready for your child to access whilst at home.
At Inspire Academy we are using our website to deliver our home learning and will continue to do this, but from parent feedback we feel that children at home are missing seeing their teacher and peers. So we have set up Google Classroom to work in addition to our website and other apps, as an additional tool so the Teachers can communicate with pupils who are at home. Please read the ’Parent Guide to Google Classroom’ on how to get started.
The Children’s usernames look like email addresses, however they are not able to send or receive emails by using this username as this facility has been disabled. If pupils need to contact their teachers, they can do so in the usual way on Purple Mash. If parents and carers have any questions or issues with access, please email your child’s teacher directly where they will contact you within 24 hours Monday to Friday. Many safety features on Google Classroom have been enabled by school, however it is still the responsibility of parents to monitor what children are accessing online at home. We will continue to teach children the importance of being responsible digital citizens and accessing age appropriate material and we greatly appreciate parents supporting this at home with their children.
Please look at our “Google Classroom Etiquette” with your child so that they understand the rules that have been agreed. Any misuse will be reported and investigated by our safeguarding team and will be dealt with in accordance to the school’s policies.
All pupils have been sent a login for their Google Classroom account. If you need these resending please email your class teacher.
